The Biden "Mocking Trump" Commercial Seems To Have Struck A Nerve.

Damn, whoever came up with this commercial in the Biden Campaign team deserves a medal. It seems to have struck a nerve, due to Fox's reaction to it.

Trudeau and other leaders get caught on a hot mic, mocking Trump's inability to control his verbal diarrhea. (Turning a 20 minute photo op into a 50 minute press conference, with Boris Johnson asking Macron if that's why he was late.) The video went viral immediately, and Fox initially ran the clip multiple times. Presumably because they thought it made liberal, anti-Trump hero Justin Trudeau look stupid.

But that would depend on how Trump reacted to it. His followers were hoping the wrath of Trump would be terrifying. Perhaps culminating with him calling Trudeau all sorts of names, slapping 100% tariffs on Canadian goods; and (Putin's wet dream) withdrawing from NATO. That didn't happen. Instead, Trump muttered something about Trudeau being two faced; CANCELLED his final press conference, and left early. Presumably because his FEEWINGS got hurt.

Then, the Biden campaign came out with THIS video, showing Trump being mocked, ridiculed, laughed at, and otherwise acting goofy. Fox News went viral with the original Trudea video, but suddenly stopped showing it. Then, on Special Report today, they MENTIONED the commercial several times, but went out of their way to avoid SHOWING it. Instead, they DESCRIBED it, inaccurately, as showing Justin Trudeau 'complaining' about the length of Trump's press conference.

Neither Trudeau, nor any of the other leaders (who they failed to mention) were 'complaining.' They were LAUGHING, which, as we all know, is a wannabe dictators worst nightmare. Not being feared. Not being stood up to. But being LAUGHED at. They also didn't mention that the mockery included Trump's role model, Boris Johnson.

Trump being laughed at, and mocked is the worst thing for his base-appeal, as well. Most GOP/Trump supporters have authoritarian, chimpanzee politics personalities. They follow the perceived alpha-male. The more the mainstream media harps on Trumps criminal behaviour, and talks about him being a thug who breaks the rules, the more they love him. That's a feature of the authoritarian personality! If you want to erode support for Trump from his base, don't show him being an asshole, because they LOVE that! If you want to erode his support, show him getting LAUGHED AT, and mocked.

Bravo to the genius who came up with this commercial!

show him as a buffoon being mocked by the rest of the world, because that will REALLY get under his skin and make him do even more bizarre things and stumble and fall.

Attacking his policies only emboldens him and his followers - but heaping insults on him personally, laughing at him, calling him a joke, ridiculing him... that's the shit that he can't stand.

Do it until he hits his breaking point!

The dems need to refer to him as President Snowflake, Cadet Bonespurs, Captain Toddler, and other derisive terms constantly. Refer to him as Donnie, not Donald or Trump.

It’s hard for me to imagine Trump supporters watching this, and I am afraid that Independents would shrug it off it because it is so clearly partisan. Would Fox even run this ad? It seems to me an example of preaching to the choir. The choir (and I am one) enjoys it, but who else?

understand your reasoning about preaching to the choir, but have to disagree. As the OP illustrates .. open mockery, laughing at our dear leader, is one of those things that the base will find most difficult to ignore. It gets under their skin, big time. So (IMO) this does filter down even into the FOX nation (they might not run the ad, but all of their guests and "personalities" have seen it, and all know everyone is talking about it) and it will have an effect. Remember -- these people positively GLORY in the anger and fury of the left. It's doesn't play the same with our (and the world's) ridicule and disdain

(nice first post. think you make good points. welcome.)

Subtract the days that are holidays or obvious news days, super Tuesday, Election Day, the conventions, etc. Let's say that leaves you 300 days. Subtract another 30 for news that will interrupt the news cycle, mass shootings, air crashes, scandal. That leaves you about 270 days where you might have a crack at owning the news cycle. This ad just owned one of them.

That's the point.

Biden proved his ability to make Donnie look like the fool he is!! I guarantee it's easier to get Donnie to react like that than it is for Donnie to get to Biden! Donnie simply cannot resist the urge to react, just look at his twitter activity!

Nice work Joe!!

one more thing, I loved the way the ad used Donnie's comment from 2016 that others were laughing at us. It was intended to be a criticism of Obama but no one was laughing at us then. However fat Donnie made that true!

If he had any brains after Trudeau & everyone else laughed at him, he should have shown up to show them that the episode did not have an effect on him. Unfortunately Donnie is not that good of an actor. Instead he slinked out of town by acting like a hurt puppy!!!
