5. What I read somewhere was that Schumer

told "the turtle" that he would not send the articles over to the Senate unless he ( McConnell) agreed to call fact finding witnesses like Mulvaney, Eisenberg and Bolton to testify. Otherwise the impeachment articles would be kept in the House until the courts ruled on the matter.
