1. What was the occasion for that speech?

I wonder if he wrote it himself.

2. Glad to watch this again.

I happened upon it early yesterday morning on free speech tv while making breakfast and packing lunch for my kiddo. It stopped me in my tracks. The Native American woman to Sheen’s left spoke after he did and she was quite inspirational as well.

Thank you for posting.

9. Could be

He may have given him an outline of what he wanted to say and then Sorkin wrote it for him.

10. It sounded like something Aaron would have written.

On the other hand Martin was on West Wing a long time saying the things Aaron wrote, he may have picked up something there.

6. Sam Seaborn didn't write it

but it was a decent statement from President Bartlet.

And even though Bartlet is fictional, he would still be oh so much better than the current Orange Mistake.

7. Which one is fictional?

trump or Bartlet?

When it comes to acting (Presidential), Martin Sheen matched Reagan.

They both were playing a part. They both made America feel better about itself.

Then there's a reality show phony and con man.

11. I just started...

...re-binge watching The West Wing just to make myself feel better by listening to characters espouse what I think and believe in.

12. Warmed my heart. Sheen should speak at these and Democratic rallies all the time.

Even more, I'd love for him to be the warm-up speaker at our nominee's rallies after the DNC.
