Related: About this forumTYT: Pat Robertson Wife Beating Advice
"During The 700 Club's "Bring It On" segment, Pat Robertson sought to advise a man who sent in a question about how to approach marital problems with his wife. Robertson remarked that "he can't let her get away with this stuff," also noting that although we don't "condone wife-beating these days," perhaps the man could move to Saudi Arabia...".* Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur break it down on The Young Turks.

(2,166 posts)Actually, both Robersonson and Cenk are way off base. Both are reacting in a negative way. The couple needs counseling, and if it's true abuse, the man should leave. Scripture also says that divorce is allowed, so wtf is Robertson saying?

(12,882 posts)Robertson is a dolt, but I'm worried about Cenk's approach as well. I've been in a long-term relationship that was one, long dare. I finally walked away from it after 15 years. Subsequently met and married a gal who's not abusive or daresome. To hell with living under a treaty.

(110,159 posts)what an ass that man is. we expect it out of robertson, and hearing cenk talk about women, i really expect no less from this man. a decade. divorced in a decade.

(17,301 posts)Second, Cenk's advice is for high school kids not adults in a committed relationship.
Third, if someone is regularly hitting you, you have no choice but to leave the relationship. Hitting back leads to fist fights and threats of infidelity will solve nothing. Staying in a relationship with an abuser will lead to more abuse.
And Romney is paling around with this idiot Robertson.
