1. Well sure, being young doesn't mean you won't catch the virus ...

Just lowers your chances of getting really sick and/or dying. AFAIK.

3. How many people altogether have been tested? What are their ages?

What was the criteria for who got tested? What's the population break down of California? How many of those who've been tested positive are showing symptoms? How many of those are sick enough to be hospitalized?

Numbers in isolation are not helpful. Or necessarily meaningful.

way it is in Missouri. Only get tested if you are showing symptoms and you have to have an order from your doctor.
