Media ignores NDAA

A federal judge has ruled that the Government can not enforce a provision that allows the military to detain those in support of terrorists or "associated forces." The latter words here are key - that's because the plaintiffs in this case against consist of reporters and activists that say they believe they can fall under this category by reporting in the Middle East. According to the group they can be indefinitely detained because their jobs sometimes require them to interact with terrorists. The judge granted a temporary injunction back in May which put a temporary block on that part of the law. Federal judge Katherine Forrest has now made the order permanent. Carl Mayer, an attorney with the Mayer Law Group and co-counsel to the plaintiff in this case, joins RT's Liz Wahl for the details.

For those of you who many not remember exactly what Bill Casey said, on his first day as acting CIA chief back in the early 1980's,. it was this: "Our goal over the next twenty years is to ensure that every single thing that the average American believes is not true."

And we have watched as the media succumbs to being filled with CIA operatives, like Wolf Blitzer. I am rather certain he is a card carrying CIA media person.

Then there are the people like Katie Couric. They never went to Langley and signed anything, but they want success, and they are careful to note every inflection and body movement their bosses indicate, when they propose stories to put on the air.

Ir remember how Couric explained several years later, that while interviewing George W, she had some tough questions to ask, but higher ups at the station asked she avoid those questions. Later on, she regretted it, but "later on" was too late to help the nation. She helped keep the war in Iraq going. Today's current crop of journalists get the signal as to which story to feature and which to bury.

The news media is not merely a mouthpiece of propaganda for the political class, and their puppet masters. The usual suspects of Big Oil and Big Energy, Big Finance, Big Pharma and Big Health Care and the Big Military interests.

types of monumentally anti-American laws have been passed and upheld. Stupidity, apathy, partisanship and quasi-fascist intentions make for bad law.

On the left, Congressman Dennis Kucinich and on the right Senator Ron Paul voted against the NDAA. Wonder if it is coincidence that Gary Johnson and Jill Stein, presidential candidates, each on the ballot for president in over 2/3 of the states and have qualified and accepted federal campaign matching funds, are being excluded from the debates by the private Commission on Presidential Debates.

Time to speak up and tell a few friends to get candidates in the debates that will at least talk about the National Defense Authorization Act.
