One Iowa couple recently received a wedding gift that they aren't going to forget in a hurry.
-snip-
Turns out, President Obama had planned a last-minute rally at the Living History Farms in Urbandale, Iowa on September 1. Only problem? There was a wedding happening at the very same location on the same day.
Thankfully, both the rally and wedding went off without a hitch, (the rally ended about an hour before the start of the wedding) and when all was said and done, the newlyweds received this sweet note from the Commander-in-Chief:

Romney wouldn't walk across the street to spit on you if you weren't one of his voters. He might pay someone else to do it though.

(24,721 posts)If it had been Rob-me's rally, I could imagine him going over his alloted time, then briskily rushing past the wedding party waiting in the hot sun to get inside as he & his SS people left the place.

(24,411 posts)...campaign stop in Iowa two weeks earlier. Romney held a closed-door, private meeting for donors who paid anywhere from 5k-20k to attend. The event was held at Glenn Oaks Country Club; the most exclusive country club in the state. The media wasn't allowed to film, but I heard done audio. He made some very bizarre comments about cheese.
While Obama greets an excited crowd of 10,000+ at Living History Farms--Romney hides behind solid oak doors and only allows entrance to those who can fork over thousands for admission.
I was at Obama's Living History event that day. I didn''t have to pay to attend, but the day was priceless!

Not sure I'd be a gracious is Bush had jeopardized my big day.
