Everyone know that CNNs Ashleigh Banfield is one of the hardest-working women out there. Not only is she on the networks 5 a.m. show Early Start but she also pops up on CNN, oh, pretty much all day.
So we can give her a pass when she decided to prank call Kerry Kennedy one morning live on the air. Who makes good decisions after so little sleep? The Daily Show, however, cannot.
As Jon Stewart aptly puts it, You dont cold call a Kennedy at 5 a.m.

(44,555 posts)First you're on the front lines of a pre-emptive war, then you're inadvertently making Howard Stern look respectable. She should have stayed at TruTV. And speaking of TruTV, I understand that a call she made to "World's Dumbest Criminals" commentator Chuck Nice didn't go too smoothly, either.

How did I miss that? I must have been too busy to watch tv at the time.
That was amazing.

(12,233 posts)and national news in a serious manner... How can they think that crank calling people at 5am is serious journalism? Or that its appropriate at all? AND then asking Kerry Kennedy if she has any bad election time jitters because her father was killed while running for the Presidency when she was 8 yrs old... I'm glad I'm not up at 5 am to see this ridiculous news show.
