(35,925 posts)voting in any two party system. They're probably among the millennials who haven't thought voting was worth much, and so didn't vote. Now they're feeling they've got to. But they cling to their old excuses.
That's not new. But if they're learning the long game and whether they want to engage, they've got to stop the "she's too corporate" critique, or some other excuse to not trust government.

(2,594 posts)I found a short, but encouraging biography that talked about how her parents met at UC Berkley and were part of the campus activism there.
Also, knowing something of Bay Area politics, if she navigated through that, she'll have a good background on environmental issues, something that has been lacking in DC for a long time. It talked about her stance on global warming, but we need a larger more comprehensive initiative.
So I'm no longer discouraged, and there is a faint glimmer of hope.
