Economy is recovering according to government statistics

The economy is definitely better than it was 4 years ago.

Total non-farm job growth:

Compare that to government employees:

This is primarily a result of Republicans laying off workers (some of them cops and firefighters) at the state level just to hurt the economy. The brief spike was census workers.

So much for "making government bigger".

4. Some companies have been weeding out Obama voters too,...especially in management.

A while back one of them was quoted as saying people who voted for Obama showed poor judgement.

5. That might provide motivation, but does make sure they have time to vote. If they

were at your beck and call, I mean work, you could at least try to interfere with their schedule. And you profit from their labor even if you don't interfere. If they can get a job it might be with a competitor in working poverty, at a lower wage than you were paying them. Your business is the next victim.

It's kinda Cinderella in reverse, or maybe Karma.

Employees will be better off. It has been my experience that anything such a person "gives" is tarnished and over-valued if it sucks the spirit out of your body.

6. Some of these people in management believe firing you is a death sentence.

It doesn't even occur to them that you'll get another job. It's a power trip. They sentence you and you're gone. It's like they believe they killed you or made you a "loser" that would end up a homeless junkie dying in a ditch.

They LOVE the idea that they have the power to destroy someone's life on a whim.
