Hilarious blast from the past: Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate Ron Paul on Morton Downey Jr

show gets the reaction you'd EXPECT him to get in a more rational age. ie-he's treated as a non-serious CRACKPOT. My, how things have changed. Now he appears on FACE THE NATION instead of 'Bigmouth,' and leads a major philosophical wing of the REPUBLICAN Party, instead of the fringe Libertarian Party. All I can say is, now that he's built up a significant following within the GOP, I hope he RETURNS to the Libertarian Party and takes all those geeks WITH him.

Morton Downy Jr. says Paul "looks like he just came from Emmet Kelly's funeral" and says "If I ever had a slime like you in the White House I'd PUKE on you."

Paul actually made some good points, but they were drowned out by the Moron Culture that Downey cultivated. I remember his show and was appalled by it. Getting people to yell at each other all at once isn't dialogue. Those cigarettes he so cherished finally killed him, too.
