Related: About this forumHilarious blast from the past: Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate Ron Paul on Morton Downey Jr
show gets the reaction you'd EXPECT him to get in a more rational age. ie-he's treated as a non-serious CRACKPOT. My, how things have changed. Now he appears on FACE THE NATION instead of 'Bigmouth,' and leads a major philosophical wing of the REPUBLICAN Party, instead of the fringe Libertarian Party. All I can say is, now that he's built up a significant following within the GOP, I hope he RETURNS to the Libertarian Party and takes all those geeks WITH him.Morton Downy Jr. says Paul "looks like he just came from Emmet Kelly's funeral" and says "If I ever had a slime like you in the White House I'd PUKE on you."

Paul actually made some good points, but they were drowned out by the Moron Culture that Downey cultivated. I remember his show and was appalled by it. Getting people to yell at each other all at once isn't dialogue. Those cigarettes he so cherished finally killed him, too.
