2. He redid his initial monologue segment, he was so incensed by Trump's actions

And not for the first time! I remember there was once breaking Trump news while he was taping his monologue - think it was the announcement of the first meet-up between Trump and Kim Jong-un - so he ignored his prepared remarks and ad-libbed the rest! Stephen Colbert keeps up with the news!
