I keep thinking of Jimmy Carter and how happy it would make him, not only if our Senate candidates win - giving us a majority - but especially if Stacey Abrams becomes governor, a worthy successor to Carter and someone with qualities and values he shares and admires...

I knew that they have met and that he's a supporter, his signature issue has always been equal rights, and he's a big supporter of women's rights, so I've thought how thrilled he would be if she held the office that he once did!

He was an exception from early in his life, learned from his mother Miss Lillian, he always supported equality though he grew up in the days of segregation, it would be so wonderful if he could see his beliefs confirmed, and a black woman as governor of Georgia would make him extremely happy.
