(From the 9/27 show) Thom Hartmann debates Nick Gillespie, Editor in Chief-Reason Magazine & Reason.com Website: www.reason.com, who says,Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid -account for the overwhelming majority of the government payouts. The numbers and percentages matter because government at all levels is broke and the only way it's going to get less broke is by spending less money.
(Gillespie also misrepresented SS as an investment and argued for means testing SS.)
