When live pressers are set up on YouTube, their live film waits for the speaker to show up. That's dead space no one wants to watch.

Whenever I can't find a previous (stream) video recording to post, I just tell people to drag through the dead video space (in the live video version, ironically) to the time point at which the speaker starts.

I post the time stamp out of respect for people's time, that's all.
Later I edit the live video with a recording of it, so folks can watch it any time after the live session.
