1. New way to think about "both siderism"...
R's "lying on both sides" of any given issue.

2. He'll be reelected, of course
Too many white "Christians" in Texas who would never vote for a Democrat.

6. This might be the last straw for some Texans
whose homes are damaged by burst water pipes and can't afford these high energy prices. They might want some changes. It's hard to blame all of this on liberal hippies moving in from California.

8. Now is a PERFECT TIME to point fingers!
Rugged Texan individualism and capitalism can only go so far.
When pipes are bursting and people are dying from hypothermia and the shops are empty the 'rugged individualism' doesn't count for much. Way past it's 'use by' date, in fact. Point fingers as much as possible. Kick politicians and Texan capitalist companies where it hurts! Then fix the problems for next time. And there will be a next time. How about a law that says utility companies need to ensure supply no matter the weather, and fines for not doing so? A fine of $100 per hour per customer, to be paid to the customer without electricity, gas or water should get some action. |
