And the previous New York Times article that they referenced was one discussed in Mary Trump's book - she got documents for the reporting team. And they did a really good job with a very complicated issue. Between the NYT and Merrick Garland, let's hope that the time is up for "Individual 1!"

13. As much as Trump deserves to go to prison, Barr deserves it more

Beyond a legally dubious self-pardon, Trump had no authority to directly subvert a criminal prosecution. That had to be done by Barr and/or DOJ officials. If Barr doesn't go to prison it means the entire DOJ is open for business when it comes to politically influencing criminal prosecutions. That's an extremely dangerous precedent for this country.
