For Corporations to stay out of politics, then you need to STOP asking them for campaign donations.

What a HYPOCRITE Mitch McConnell is.

I presume that he does, since he is such a calculating POS. Maybe he thought nobody had noticed his own corporate ties, at least none of the RWers. Or maybe he is just slipping up due to the frustration of getting knocked out of being Senate Majority Leader. Or due to his apparent physical decline.

Whatever the case, his statement is not just hypocritical. It is stupid and laughable.

You know, the ruling that opened the floodgates for political speech by corporations. He had no problem defending the right of corporations to get political about his opponents. That is really what this is all about. Republicans are a mile wide and an inch deep. They have no core values other than remaining in power to serve the wealthy and maintain the hierarchy of White Supremacy. That is it. They will say and do anything to maintain that, including foment insurrection. This is not unusual for McConnell. He has no shame. Most conservative politicians have no shame, which is why they can say things so seemingly hypocritical and take points directly contrary to points they took just a few years, or months, or days, or hours, or even minutes before. They want to hold on to power, that is their reason for existing. They care nothing about government of the people for the people because they disdain the people.

. . . until we have a SCOTUS in place that will reverse not only Citizens United but Buckley v. Valeo. A Court that will rule that money is not speech.
