had my head bashed in. had seizures in the form of hallucinations for 15 yrs. a couple stayed w me for life, tho they were not frequent. like smelling gardenias, something that only happened a few times.

this makes me sort of hopeful, oddly. i had 1 form that i actually enjoyed. the others fell into the- pink and blue tiles category. the face things seem creepy, they could be fun, right? and the cartoons? c'mon. maybe rly old age wont be so bad.

my youngest also had them, tho, and hers were unnerving. she saw people following her out of the corner of her eye. got a dx of ptsd, only figured out it was epilepsy later.

Phantosmia (smelling things that aren't there) usually don't involve pleasant smells and people don't have to be bashed in the head to get them. Usually it's something noxious, like ammonia or cigarette smoke.

Funny side note, last year when I had my case of presumptive and couldn't smell anything, the phantosmia went away, too.

Hallucination is probably a lot more common than most of us suspect. They're not particularly troublesome and people know they're not real so they dismiss them rather than tell their GPs and risk being sent to a mental hospital.

he had a couple in the house. they lived for a couple of years, and bloomed once.
i need to get a couple.

smelling perfume is a common sort of 'ghost sighting', tho.
