Enough money to write a million dollar check to every man, woman, and child in the United States and still have a chunk of change left over.

3. There are considerably more than 500 people in this country, I am pretty sure.

But yes, the man is obscenely wealthy.

He could spend 500 million dollars a month for the next twenty years and still have 69 billion dollars left.

Tax the rich. Or eat them. It’s their choice.

This may not be popular here, but if Jeff Bezos is not paying his share of taxes then shame on the politicians who allowed him to do so.

We all lived through the rise of Amazon, we all saw how Amazon at its beginnings kept loosing money, how Jeff Bezos started the company from nothing and has made it into the octopus that it is today. I do admire someone like him who had the vision, things could have gone the other way for him and he could be doing something else today, maybe even working for someone else, but he stuck with his dream and made it what it is today. We may not agree with some of his business practices, like not paying enough to his people, avoiding paying his share of taxes, but then again those are loopholes that our elected officials have allowed into the system.

If I am not mistaken, Bezos has talked about being fine to paying his share of taxes, but as long as the rules do not change, his accountants will continue to take advantage of the loopholes that politicians have created.

In regards to the $500 million yacht? Well, as I explain on my first paragraph, he earned it, it is his money and whether we like it or not, he can do whatever he wants with his money. If we place the buffoon we had as president the last four years and do comparisons with Bezos, we find the buffoon hurt a lot of people along the way, Bezos did not do that, neither did Bill Gates, that money was earned with intellect, perseverance, and a lot of work.

That’s just good old fashioned sociopathy when you are raking in that kind of coin while the people working for you struggle, legal or not.

8. I mentioned about his business practices, I did not omit that, but why is it that he can get away

with it?

I never said he is a saint, there are questionable practices in the Amazon business model, but he is within the law, lets fight those who make the laws, not Bezos, it is just a waste of time. His employees need to strike, they need to demand, from Bezos and from his public officials.

We seem to be placing the anger in the wrong place.

9. I'm placing my anger in all the wealthy people who have gamed the system

to the point where it is no longer a representative democracy. The politicians now have to dance to the tune of the people paying them since Citizens United v. Federal Elections Commission legalized corruption.

My anger is not misplaced at all.

7. Well, I mainly chose to post this because of the follow up by Elizabeth Warren

And it didn't make sense without Chris Hayes' initial report. And I agree with you, those I have a problem with are those corporations who aren't paying their share of taxes. It was the former guy who reduced the share of taxes paid by the wealthiest Americans. Senator Warren has a plan to change that, just a slight increase would make a vast difference.
