Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who was ousted from House Republican leadership after repeatedly condemning President Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election, speaks to CNN's Jake Tapper about the future of the GOP.

1. If that was the whole interview

interesting that she wasn't asked if she could work with Democrats who adhered to the rule of law, and she was quick to bring up 2000 and 2004 which were in no way, as Tapper pointed out, similar in magnitude to what happened in 2020. She is cagey, toes a fierce party line, but she's also about ideology, quick to point to differences and how she thinks everything Democrats do is wrong.

I guess she earns respect, but she has this cold side where I don't trust her, I like her but I don't like her. I also think she is pursuing a cause that will ultimately fail. Democrats will either hold the line in 2022 and 2024 and increase their hold on the government and country as things improve, or the Tea Party MAGA wing of Republicans will seize power and create massive havoc for us all. Either way, the moderate Republicans - all 10 to 20 of them, have no power, and will fail to grow, and will have no influence.
