In many states, fully vaccinated Americans can now resume most activities without wearing a mask. The new guidance announced Thursday by the CDC was met with jubilation in many quarters. But there are also concerns the changes for indoor masking are happening too quickly. Lisa Desjardins follows up on those concerns with Dr. Ranit Mishori, a professor of family medicine at Georgetown University.

(6,795 posts)If you're among the >60% who haven't gotten vaccinated yet you're liable to get, mutate and spread this stupid disease for those same next few months. If you DO get sick you may not die but you would be an incubator for mutations and a source of spread. If you're one of the "I'm not ever getting vaccinated" crowd then you're in the group that willfully spread the mutations, infecting those of us who are currently vaccinated, possibly in a few months.

(6,615 posts)1) CDC still has massive work to do to overcome the damage done to it by the Orange Treason Grifter and his Death Cult.
2) Majority not yet vaccinated.
3) Same assholes who refuse to wear a face-mask are not getting vaccinated.
Would you trust them to tell you the truth about their vaccine status?
Crap move, CDC!

(204,630 posts)Despite the recent proliferation of vaccination sites even in my relatively rural part of New York (3 pharmacy chains, a state site that's currently accepting walk-ins, a county site and a local health center), there are still those who aren't vaccinated. There's no excuse at this point. I took my brother to the state site since it's very close and he got Pfizer #1, is scheduled for #2 on Friday, and the place was so busy that there were lines. But there are still those who are anti vax and the percentages of the vaccinated aren't yet in our favor.
