Stephen Colbert - Back in the Ed Sullivan Theater! - Guest Jon Stewart!

Jon Stewart On Vaccine Science And The Wuhan Lab Theory

We're back in the Ed Sullivan Theater and it's only right that Stephen's first guest is none other than friend of the show, Jon Stewart. What did they talk about? The pandemic, obviously.

"They Are Going To Kill Us All" - Jon Stewart Declares His Love For Scientists

Jon Stewart, our first in-studio guest in over 15 months, expresses his great love for scientists, but includes a note of caution for a pandemic-weary world.

That's the joke, anyway - he's emerged from there before and I'm sure this isn't the last time. He must have gotten lonely over 460 days! Actually, he is producer of the show, besides being Colbert's old and dear friend, so I'm sure this isn't his last appearance. But I know what you mean, the Jon Stewart Daily Show was awesome - and historic. I actually had the privilege of being in the studio audience back in 2008 and it was an experience. The studio was smaller and more intimate than it appeared on TV and he was very friendly with the audience, answered questions before the show. A woman sitting near me asked Jon about the notes he uses and he remembered, gave her his notes after the show...

Especially since I almost made it, was just a few hours late!

I've also been to the Ed Sullivan Theater, but it was to see David Letterman. He was also incredibly welcoming to the audience, he not only spent time before the show joking with and taking audience questions, but he made a point afterwards of coming out and thanking the audience - and that was after 30+ years! I miss him, too. For my job, I provided the CBS network TV listings for the newspapers, so I had to call Letterman's publicist to find out what guests were scheduled. It was frustrating when we were on deadline and they still had no one scheduled, so I'd make suggestions. They were always very nice.

He had me going for a bit, but then I realize they were doing a role-reversal routine of their early days.

He was always like that. He says what he think and it’s not always comfortable. I thought he hit Hillary way too hard.

vaccine. If he was doing this as satire why would he say he believes in the vaccine and not Fauci who said they need more investigating into how the virus started.

Also, scientists have done far more than 1918 in fighting the virus. A lot less people who have covid are dying in the hospitals because of science and research. Monoclonal antibodies, positioning patients differently in bed, using steroids , waiting longer to place patients on ventilators all of this has saved a lot of lives. I was very disappointed in Jon when he said many months ago that science has done no more than masks for the pandemic. Jon said science did NOTHING new since 1918. It really pissed me off. People listen to this misinformation.

Funny, gracious, long blue tie, blue shirt, white non-orange gray hair, pale non-bronzer complexion, cool jeans. A real, live human being.

I wonder if those 2 chat beforehand to sort of script out what they'll do, or is that all spontaneous.
