Saw a video of him this morning at a news conference where he said that he hadn't heard anything about ventilators being sent to Florida and that he didn't know anything about that. He said Florida doesn't need ventilators. He is such an opportunistic fool. Being complicit in the deaths of people that you are supposed to be guarding their welfare is just criminal. It is so discouraging that he will never be called to account for his neglect. Oh well, one of many. Excuse my gloominess, just down in the dumps this morning.

8. Getting ready to watch Ch 20 Gainesville, ch 12, ch4 Jax news at noon. They regularly avoid any

real criticism of DeSantis, instead tiptoing up to it and then playing it safe. We shall see if anything changes but I doubt it. If I have missed some more confrontational pieces I hope my Florida neighbors here will let me know. However I watch once or twice a day and that jerk seems to always get a pass. Reminds me of the Trump kid glove treatment to a tee.

Okay, 14 minutes in to the three broadcasts:
Ch 20, Gainesville (a Sinclair station) showed a brief clip of DeSantis saying he had no knowledge of any request for Federal assistance in providing ventilators. Ended without any station commentary.
Channels 4 and 12 (Jax) opted for footage of parents demonstrating outside school board meetings re. mask policies; interviewed JU students, about mask policies, interviewed a recovering covid patient recommending masks, etc. No coverage of Desantis at all.

Not sure if anyone wants to read this but it is pretty much par for the course here IMO.

All three stations ramping up the weather coverage of "Fred."
