His answer too was a straw man fallacy. He didn't address the question about rape and incest, only saying that rapists will be eliminated. He failed to follow up on what happens to the pregnant female, which without comment means, she has to carry it to term. That's the way I interpreted his slippery answer.

Perhaps Abbott should have the State of Texas run a battery of tests on all males over the age of 10, for their proclivity toward becoming a rapist. That would identify them at an early age so that their civil liberties would be violated before they could violate any female of the species.

I’m no psychologist, but I can’t help thinking this: he’s confined to a wheelchair. That automatically renders him needy of help, and unable to take full and independent care of himself. He may not even be able to get up and go to the bathroom without help. Sexually, I don’t know how much of that particular function is impaired. But I bet he fights the feeling of helplessness, lifelong dependence, and infirmity, internally, all the time.

And I’ll bet he FUCKING HATES that! In his wheelchair, he can’t even look somebody straight in the face - if the other person isn’t seated (ie: lower down, at his level). There’s the power and power-of-masculinity thing and he’s got a very visible impairment. And he probably,deep-down, hates anybody and anything that reminds him of his impairment. So I suspect there’s a fair amount of self-hatred in there. It’s just a suspicion on my part.

The only relief, for someone like him who lusts for (and has electorally attained) power, is to assert domination of others around him. Bring all those around him down, effectively UNDER him. So HE is the Alpha ANYWAY, despite the wheelchair. He can defy his frustration over his own sense of helplessness that way.

And who is easiest to dominate? Societally, it’s the poor, needy, disadvantaged, who can’t afford the help and care they need. A majority of that group are women, many of them single. Single heads-of-households, forced to get by without help (because jerks like him don’t want to spend the money helping people like them). And personally, the women in his own individual sphere. Dominate THEM, TOO. But that’s easier because it doesn’t involve public policy and all the noise and attention that comes with it, and it’s conveniently behind your own closed doors.

He’s the absolute lowest of the low. When his circumstances would otherwise enable him to be more compassionate. After all, he above all should be able to sympathize AND EMPATHIZE with the misfortune and disability and sense of extreme difficulty and encumbrance of others. And he clearly does not.
