I saw him once on with David Letterman and almost changed the channel since he appeared to be a jerk with nothing interesting to say. But I ended up watching since Letterman seemed to be having fun, putting this joker in his place. The joker was apparently selling men's ties which Dave pointed out were made in China. And the jerk's pet peeve was "the mosque at Ground Zero" and Letterman straightened him out on that, too. So I already knew that he was a clueless uninformed jerk, but we had yet to learn that the escalator was because he couldn't walk down stairs and he wasn't just uninformed, the rest of his ideas were bigoted, anti-American and dangerous.
