I'm currently listening to Mary Trump's second book on disc and she makes that point over and over.

I listened to her first book (I listen in my car - and it's read by the author) and learned quite a bit about the family history we were dealing with. So now I have her second book and it's a lot more about this country's history - she must have done considerable research - and much is about the country's failures following the Civil War and how we're still dealing with them - and the failures of the previous administration.

H.W. Brands, he is a history professor from Texas and I’ve seen him speak several times at or library’s author series. Always enjoyed his talks and find his take on subject’s informative.

ongoing southern racism, nationwide racism, cultural war and culminating in just basic trump(ist) hate involving hate of 'other' Americans not of the white race. The fight for ongoing white race superiority did not die or stop at Appomattox Courthouse 1865 April 9. And predictions concerning 2045 terrorize the 'good old boys and girls clubs' around America.

I say oh well. Can't stop a full 'melting pot' where all receive equality or death if there is a new CivilWar 2.0
