he is publicly denouncing what he did on cable TV. I don't think he is a phony come to Jesus person.

Maybe what he is doing will make other Magats wake up. I live among Trumpers so I understand that they are like zombies so I really don't expect a mass exodus of people leaving Qanon, but maybe 1 or 2.
