He's still one of our best and brightest, and at the end, while he was speaking, he drew the U.S. map Rhiannon12866 Jan 2022 #7

One large part of the problem, as I see it, is that laws were written for people who at least want to appear to be patriots, with a modicum of integrity.

I actually got to see him in person when his National Tour Tour came to my area (Albany, NY) back in November. He was very funny and shared political anecdotes from his time in the Senate to a sold out audience, spoke for over 2 hours with only a microphone, a stool and 3 glasses of water - and got a standing ovation! Though I'd certainly prefer if he was back in the Senate...

I mean, I do as well.

I’m still
Mad about his being drummed out of the Senate. What a loss.

As he's done before - from memory - and offered to sign it as a fundraiser for some local Democratic charity!

Our elections are complex, as well as dispersed throughout the states, counties, and municipalities. That is a strength, as well as a weakness in improving them. We have to work in every aspect of them to keep our democracy.
I encourage whoever is willing to get involved locally.
Thanks for posting this.

We miss Al Franken in the Senate these days - right now we miss his voice more than ever - but he's still working for us, touring the country with his message (I got to see him live in Albany, NY, back in November!) and bringing us these important discussions from those we most need to hear from.
