that exposes and harasses phone scammers: https://www.youtube.com/c/scammerpayback

Speaking of scammers...my kiddo (16 years old) got a call from a scammer telling him that his vehicle warranty had expired. The scammer asked him what vehicle he drove and the kiddo says "an '85 DeLorean." The scammer asked if the check engine light was on. The kiddo replied "It isn't exactly an engine, but the flux capacitor light is on, can you help me with that?" The scammer says "what?" My son says "yeah the time travel capability is sub par for sure." The scammer hung up.

Pierogi, of Scammer Payback is my Hero. I really also like KitBoga (the first post). Thanks for helping spread the word. So many scammers are going after our elderly, it is just disgusting.

Pierogi it is!! I must say, I'm addicted to his videos. I don't think I could be fooled by these a-holes, but I have learned how the scams work and why they do what they do. It is very satisfying to waste their time.

Once I'm sure it is a scammer, and they are asking for me to verify personal information, I usually put a stop to it and say something like:

OK, OK, I am not going to give you any personal information. You should already have that if you are who you say you are. But we both know you are not. We both know you are lying and trying to steal money from me. How can you live with yourself? Do you not feel any shame? You should go home right now and go read the Gita with your Mother. Shame. Shame SHAME!!!

They usually try to argue a little, but I am relentless with the shaming. Seriously.

who still has a phone voice that sounds like a 14 year old girl (so I've been told) and is fed up with all the scammers calling at all hours of the day and night, it comes at a total shock when they get hold of me. I tried the hang up immediately bit. I tried the no-call lists. I've tried everything. Finally, I gave in and started doing what made ME feel good at the moment. I started drawing on my old days in the service... I started swearing at them up one side and back down the other.

It may not be kosher. But I feel better when I hang up. And if they dare call me, a retiree who MADE herself be at work before 7am every damn workday for all those decades (when I'm really a night person)... I figure they have it coming!

Besides, I figure, it's a phase. I'll move on to something else, eventually... or I'll yank the phone out and that'll stop them completely.
