This would be evidence of just how important in-person learning and teachers are and be spun that way. I am not saying they said otherwise, but it is a good example to those wanting to automate schools. I speak from experience-kids learn jack in online classes, as a rule.

Schools are PUSHING computers on kids and I would guess that teachers are spending tons of time creating, uploading, and managing content instead of TEACHING. The more scores fall the more they say we need more computer time. They even let the kids use calculators for math.

I am so sick of school computers that I threaten to destroy them almost weekly. My kids were (we have eliminated them at the time) CONSTANTLY doing things they shouldn't that culminated in my 13 year old daughter sending nude pictures to a boy (he's already quite the accomplished predator).

Anyway, back to the education component. I was so worried my kids would be behind that I pushed them both to do a math review book last summer. They both ended up ahead of their classmates. My daughter has no confidence in her math abilities, and when a friend asked if my daugher could help her with a math problem, she automatically responded with "I don't know how", and then she realized she did know how and was able to help her friend!! She even made honor roll that fall!! I won't let them use calculators because I tell them I could train a monkey to punch a math problem into a calculator.
