For them, Trump - and Repugs in general - mean 'power'. And that's all that matters to them.

Anyone who questions power, unless they have tons themselves, is just an opportunity for them to show how good of a lackey they can be ('happy with me, boss?').

Aileen's culture values race and status above all else - and power means impunity.

And for those who cater, rewards. Always the reward.

They fled because the peasants they ruled over finally had enough of their shit and kicked them out.

Aileen's definitely a symptom of that.

That's why they fit so hand-in-glove with today's GOP.

The most authoritarian major party of any major democracy, by far.

Most RW Cuban exiles are the same.

In that culture, it's all about status, power - and the rewards that might come from catering to same.

They are such a tiny minority yet sit on powerful positions on US councils dealing with Latin America.

Mexican Americans wake up! You are over 75% of the Latino base in America. Look at how easy it is for them to get citizenship. And you guys? You saved the USA during the big wars by running our farms. The RW Cubans were too busy running gambling casinos at the time.

Not content with dictating U.S. Cuba policy, they presume to dictate policy toward all of Latin America - U.S. interests be damned.

Worst of all, they consider themselves the arbiters of what is or isn't "democratic."

This, from some of the most racist, elitist, and profoundly un-democratic people you may ever meet.

So of course, the GOP was the perfect for them.

This BS defense started after John Roberts got Florida to stop counting the votes. Then on Bush v Gore the supreme court said we are giving the presidency to Bush because we don't want his feeling hurt. The republican elected judges have been skirting the law since the regan appointed judges were told what their ruling should be by the federalist society.
