2. They were just saying the first PM she knew was Winston Churchill, born in 1874

And the new PM, who she met, was born in 1975.

3. Read this over at Huffpo:

"In a 1976 visit to Philadelphia, she said America’s independence 'should be celebrated as much in Britain as in America. ... We lost the American colonies because we lacked the statesmanship to know the right time and the manner of yielding what is impossible to keep.' ”

That is one hellva statement--gracious, realistic, and a wise affirmation. Certain parties could learn a thing or two.

And it had been 200 years.
