The Putin regime will collapse, and he'll probably take some of the worst actors down with him.
However, the Kremlin prefers to keep the locus of power within its walls. There is no guarantee the successor will be any better, especially if he is allowed to hang around for more than 10 years.
Putin was a great reformer in the beginning. He just stuck around too long.
