Guam takes on renewed importance for US as Taiwan tensions heat up - ABC News (Australia)

As military tensions rise over Taiwan, a tiny speck of American soil in the middle of the Pacific is taking on renewed importance.

The US military is building up its presence on Guam, with plans for a new marines base, more submarines and a billion-dollar anti-missile system. East Asia correspondent Bill Birtles travelled to Guam for this report.

They always do nothing. They didn't follow through with threats with Pelosi. The Wolf Warrior diplomats beat their chests, the Wu Mao pushed the propaganda, and the paper-thin tiger blustered, but did nothing.

With the banking system not trusted any more, the ponzi scheme of their real estate market crumbling, their zero-covid policy wrecking their economy, the people starving and having massive psychological damage to the solitary confinement/surveillance state, and the CCP doubling down to save face rather than solve problems, all they have is sabre-rattling, warmongering, and jingoism to try to distract the Chinese people from current events.
