Russia must be punished for its crime of invasion: Zelenskyy - Al Jazeera

Speaking at the UN General Assembly, Ukraine's President has told world leaders to punish Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Moscow was not serious about ending the war.

Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher reports from the United Nations in New York, the US.

Prosecute individuals for proven war crimes.

Sanctions and isolation economically from the rest of the world. Well, Western world anyway.

Reparations for damage done to Ukraine.

But first, the war must stop.

More like, regretting starting the war, but not seeing a dignified way to end it. "Oops, my bad!" isn't in Putin's vocabulary.
