I knew someone in her 40s who put her rapist away in her 20s and she said she would never do it again. The system is unbelievably cruel to a woman who has been raped, defense attorneys allowed to get away with character assassination that basically rapes her all over again. Likely this woman was prepped by the prosecution on what to expect in court and she panicked. That's why she was jailed for 9 days instead of 6 months.

The rapist sounds like a one man, mad dog crime wave. I hope he never gets out. And it's not balancing the rights of the state against the rights of the victim, it's balancing the rights of the victim and the rights of his future victims, people he might have maimed or killed.
