In 6 weeks you'll be in a voting booth staring at a list of names. More likely than not, one of them will be an election denier. This election season is extremely high stakes and that is becoming increasingly evident in the state of Pennsylvania.
Sitting Attorney General and Democratic nominee for governor Josh Shapiro joins Ali Velshi to explain why the entire country needs to be cautious of his opponent Doug Mastrianos dangerous extremism. He has made clear that he is going to review the logbooks, the voting rolls, and decertify voting machines if he doesn't like the outcome, if he doesn't like the will of the people. Think about the chaos that that would bring not just to Pennsylvania, but the rest of the nation. - Aired on 09/25/2022.

(203,033 posts)I may be in New York, a reliably "blue state," and I generally vote a straight Democratic ticket, but when our moderate Democratic Rep retired, we ended up with Stefanik - and I've seen an awful lot of Stefanik signs in my travels.

(203,033 posts)My grandmother wasn't uninformed, but she voted, same as her father, for "the party of Lincoln." And her kids, at least my aunt and my father, in turn voted the same as she did. But then in the mid '80s she moved to a retirement community in NC and joined a peace group - which she also invited me to join. They were mostly senior citizens, but also world travelers and liberal Democrats. She asked me once what they'd think if they knew she voted for Reagan - and I told her not to look at me, LOL. So when Bill Clinton was on the ballot in '92, she called me to let me know she changed parties and voted for him. I told her that I voted for him, too, but we didn't need to discuss it with the rest of the family. Sometimes it just takes a wake up call.
