Senate Votes To Advance Short-Term Funding Bill, Avoiding Government Shutdown - NBC News

On Capitol Hill, the Senate moves forward with a 73-29 procedural vote to continue funding the government through December, therefore avoiding a shutdown. The short-term funding also includes 12 billion in emergency aid for Ukraine, two billion for disaster relief, and one billion for heating assistance to low-income families. NBC News’ Julie Tsirkin has more from Washington, D.C.
