You either are or you aren't. Pussy-footing about the dangers of the fascist right is what got us into this mess. Only by standing up to those dangers publicly and spitting in its face can our leaders stop them from becoming a reality.
People -- especially Republicans, and Republican women!! -- need to be reminded constantly that their rights as free human beings are on the line here.
Sammy Alito smirked and told the public that the decision to throw out Roe v. Wade only gave back to the States the right to legislate regarding abortion -- and nothing else. He smirked because he knew the decision was, in fact, just a first step in the long-term plan by the fGOP to make sex a matter of restrictive law nationally. And what happened next? Days after the Dobbs decision, Clarence Thomas began pushing for a national abortion ban, as well as the dissolution of all same-sex marriages, prohibitions on contraceptives and, in fact, prohibitions against any family planning method other than abstinence. And Clarence's pronouncements have been embraced by the fGOP!
The fGOP tells you who they are, what they are, and what they want to do to you. Only a babbling idiot would choose not to believe them.
The Democrats have to broadcast this ugly truth until people actually hear and understand it. The danger posed to our freedoms by the fascists will affect every American. The truth of Republican fascism is a bitter pill, but, if it is to be countered and eradicated, it mustn't be sugar coated.
