1. Apparently Mr. James cannot differentiate between

a 14 year old kid in a crowd and a 30 year-old man making anti-semitic comments. Wonder what he thinks about Ye.

2. My first gut was 'what a racist response' - I went and did your work for you. See content body::

LeBron James cancels rapper from show after he spouts ‘more hate speech’ at filming

So, "Mr. James" already put "Ye" on notice. in Oct., '22.

Your faux respect for a black man by using "Mr. James" was a sure give-a-way.

I almost Alerted your post as racist but have decided to let others see it as well.

3. One more thing. You meant "a (white) 14 year old kid in a crowd (of white, racist kids)", right?

4. He also was specifically told to not get involved, right? By a coach allegedly?

I have a hard time believing it was an accident.

I'm from Little Rock, and know the community. Mom was 6 when all this was happening By the time she was in junior high her parents had bought a house closer to Hall -- that was the response of most people, the"white flights" and neighborhood segregation. By the time that wasn't enough they were building segregation academies, and I was seen as having a "poor upbringing" by neighbors because I went to public school in 1987 instead of a parochial or secular private school.

Kids were certainly hearing a lot of crap from their parents, But that wouldn't have been the only motivator if they also had a coach who was saying NOT to get involved (unless his parents threatened to beat him to hell unless he participated, can't see parental racism as enough of a motivator compared to coach saying people who participated would be benched). When he talked about it, at least on my reading of it, he seemed proud that he was there, not ashamed really at all.

And yes, 30 year olds can have crazy, horribly bigoted ideas too, which should be roundly condemned.

There's a lot of bigotry, and one does not excuse the other.
