Fox News Host Completely Dismantles Kari Lake's New Conspiracy Theory - Farron Balanced

Kari Lake tried to launch a new conspiracy theory last week, and she was quickly shot down by none other than the folks at Fox News. Lake shared an article that claimed that the Right's favorite boogeyman, George Soros, had endorsed Ron DeSantis for president, and Fox was quick to point out that this never happened and that Soros has nothing but scorn and derision for the Florida governor. But there could be more to Fox's defense of DeSantis than you think, as Farron Cousins explains.

You know, I do my best to try to keep up to date on all of the Carrie Lake news, just because she's such an interesting little critter that I, I feel the need to constantly debunk the stupid stuff that she says. But I missed one. I missed one that happened last week, so I gotta talk about it right now. But luckily, even though I missed it and I wasn't able to debunk it, the folks at Fox News debunked a Carrie Lake conspiracy theory. And that, of course, is why this one is so, so weird to me. So here's what happened About nine days ago, you had Carrie Lake share a story on Twitter from the Gateway pundit claiming that George Soros, the conservative's favorite liberal funder boogeyman, had actually come out and endorsed Ron DeSantis. Needless to say, that didn't happen, but Carrie Lake shared it, said, oh my god, George Soros has, has endorsed Ron DeSantis.

Clearly, DeSantis cannot be trusted, obviously, that's the point she's trying to make here. So on Fox News, Trey Gowdy of all people, you know, the pusher of the Benghazi conspiracy theories, he had to go on the air a couple days later and debunk this idiotic carry Lake conspiracy theory. Here's what he said. Governor Ron DeSantis hasn't even announced his plans for 2024, but that has not stopped the attacks from coming. This attack was from a failed Republican gubernatorial candidate in Arizona three months ago. She thought Ron DeSantis was the best thing since sliced bread. Now, she wants you to think Governor DeSantis was endorsed by George Soros. Of course, it's not true, but why let the truth get in the way? Yeah. Why indeed, Trey Gowdy, again, of all people, what's a little truth? To stop a good conspiracy theory? I hope everybody understands the irony of Trey Gowdy having to be the one to say, Hey, let's stop with the stupid conspiracy theories.

Try to attack your political opponents. But here's the thing. Uh, the day before Kerry Lake had shared this story again from the Gateway pundit on Twitter, George Soros had been in a big, you know, we got lots of money event, I think overseas, um, where he said that Ron DeSantis will likely be the Republican nominee in 2024. Uh, he had nothing but scorn in derision, to heap upon. Ron DeSantis did not praise the man. Basically attacked him for every possible thing, which was great. And somehow the Gateway pundit decided to skew that as George Soros endorsers, Ron DeSantis for president. I mean, the headline on the article, uh, literally was the Kiss of Death, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis endorsed by George Soros. That's the caption they put on the post. And no, all Soros predicted was that DeSantis would be the Republican nominee and that he would get killed in

The, the general election, you know, by, with, with the votes, not, you know. So anyway, that's what Kerry Lake had shared. Trey Gowdy again at Fox News had to come out and debunk this. He seemed very irritated that he had to, but let's think for a second. Fox News, as I'm sure everybody's aware, is currently being sued for allowing blatantly untrue things to be said on their network. Now, this Carry Lake Twitter post was not said on the air, on Fox News. So they were under no obligation to debunk it. Right? You didn't have to talk about it. It, it wasn't even really news like most people like myself didn't even notice it. And I follow Carrie Lake News like a hawk, or at least I thought I did. So why even address it in the first place? That's where the big mystery comes in.

It's not just that Fox News debunked it, it's that they took the time to specifically call this out and attack Carrie Lake, who of course is a diehard Trump supporter. So it makes sense that she would want to take down Ron DeSantis cuz she wants Trump to be president again, probably because she's vying for that VP slot on that ticket. But Fox News doesn't want Trump to be that guy. At least the management doesn't. I know some of the hosts do, but I think Trey Gowdy at this point was just towing the company line. Fox News really seems to like Ron DeSantis and they don't like Donald Trump.

Spread this far and wide people. Spread it far and wide. Then, step back and watch them eat each other like zombies on the Walking Dead. I seriously hope that the Democratic party runs with this.
