MVP Senator Whitehouse: Time To Wake Up To The Looming Costs of Climate Upheaval

Economic collapse of spending and revenues begins with the negative inertia of climate deniers who take scientific and financial projections for unbelievable, dissmissable hyperbole.

Then when climate deniers face that reality, their inertia has already cost the rest of us in terms of inflation, shortages of goods and services due to damaged trade logistics and climate hit economies.

Then that suffering due to collapse gets made worse by media profiteers who exploit the climate deniers with misinformed local/national toxic politics that take the form of blaming presidents for "inflation" -- caused by events they denied, yet had been predicted in the 30-year projections of financial entities -- insurance cos, central bankers, asset managers, investment banks, economists, etc.

More proof (as if we need it) that stupidity is incurable.

More reasons why we must vote them out as if each election is our last election.

I still believe that rule of law is moving along with the monumental scale Jan 6 presents, as expeditiously as it can be made to be.

I'm going to err on the side of Jack Smith's pace, even as it's obstructed by the very 'due process' fights he has to handle. When he clears the political field in 2024 -- amidst screams from Koch/Trump toadies -- we'll have a better shot at acting to prevent more climate upheaval.

I'm with you. I'd vote for Whitehouse in the White House in a hot second, too.

For all the possibilities you bring up.

There are Florida sheriffs who tell the public to arm up if "protests" get out of hand. That message is vigilante. There are Citizens Academies in Florida in which people can sign up for classes that explain how sheriffs and other law enforcement work. The class topics:

Communications / 911
Patrol Functions
Internal Affairs
Enforcement Bureau
Crime Lab
Crime Prevention
Criminal Investigations Bureau
Court Services
Corrections Bureau Operations
Training
Special Teams Display
Self-defense

For more information on the Citizens Law Enforcement Academy Contact:
Deputy Bruce Meade
941- 747- 3011Ext 2459

https://www.manateesheriff.com/programs/citizens_academy.php

Then, when students are done, they are invited to be what I interpret as quasi-vigilantes. Because I don't trust pro-law enforcement Southerners. They are gunnies and liberal haters.

It's deep. Scary. But I'm not going to let fear drain my brain and spirit.

These sheriffs might mean well, but I'm going to contact local media to do interviews. Citizens should know they exist, and how they might go sideways.
I'm going to contact the DOJ field office ( and even then I don't trust the local FBI) to keep an eye on these sheriffs, because Florida had the most attendees and arrests for Jan 6 of any state.
