1. Undocumented immigrants get driver's licences in NM

and it has worked out very well because with those driver's licenses they buy auto insurance. They can't use those licenses, which are quite different from citizen or resident alien licenses, to get jobs, welfare benefits, Social Security, voting registration, or anything else the fucking idiot right wing likes to screech about.

And if undocumented aliens from out of state try to get those licenses, they get arrested. People from all over the planet have tried it, but without at least a bill to a NM address with their name on it, they're out of luck.

It was a way to decrease the number of unregistered cars and uninsured drivers and it worked.
