Planes should not be under 500ft rural & 1000ft populated, except in an airport traffic area. TheBlackAdder Mar 2023 #9
Planes also fly low to spray for mosquitoes. markodochartaigh Mar 2023 #14

You make good points. Drones don't have to stop at stop lights and go indirect routes Quixote1818 Mar 2023 #18

a hummingbird fly up on them. I've been sitting outside here a few times and had one buzz up next to my head. Sounded like a damned helicopter landing on top of me. Scared the living shit out of me.

[You'd have to prove to me this is more efficient. Thousands of drones vs a dozen trucks. The dozen truck would use less energy.

Driving took the narrator about 4 hours to get to that hospital…a few minutes by drone. On pennies of battery power. Pushed to cruising speed almost instantly to increase the range. Delivering life saving materials.

VS

Chad and Karen getting their DoorDash in 15 minutes without having to get off their dead asses and still bitching that their salad dressing wasn’t on the side. Then eating everything and complaining to try for a refund.

One of those scenarios is definitely worth it. The other…not so much.

Maybe the key is to have more distribution points around large cities? Seems if they can go out and back quickly, maybe 1 mile or two, they are super efficient, but if they have to go 20 miles and back then they are losing their efficiency.

Amazing story and so inspiring! Watching the Rwandan children's fascination and inspiration to learn is lovely, as they watch this life-saving technology come and go. So far over a half-million flights in six years they've had zero injuries. WOW!

My neighbor and many others I’m sure would try and shoot it down. We can’t have nice things.
