S7:E10 (Rep. Jim Olsen & Corporal Punishment of Disabled Children)

This week on Across the Desk, Kit Fairchild talks about the antics on the floor of the Oklahoma House of Representatives last week when Representative Jim Olsen debated against a bill to bar corporal punishment being used upon disabled children. And why does Jim think it's okay to violate the human rights of children? Well, because his religion says it's okay. And it doesn't matter if you share his religious views... You'll just have to live by them.. After all his 'God' is so much smarter than the 'so-called' educated, practiced, licensed and skilled 'experts'.... It's all about a part of the GOP that more about a 'Theocratic Republic' than a 'Democratic Republic... Oh yeah, and physically beating on disabled children who may not be able to understand why they are getting physically accosted...

Did he not? "Take the afflicted and powerless--those who cannot understand--and assert your will and physical prowess over them."

I'm sure that's in his "bible..." Somewhere, right?

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake For theirs is the kingdom of heaven

Could someone add those words to this bill?

5. If you tell a child you love them they will always remember. If you hit them they will never forget.
