That was awful. Distracted yes but one would think there would be cones and warnings for people driving at highway speeds.

if she was too busy rubbernecking (or texting) to notice a big-ass tow ramp.

There is no way she got out of that one without fractures, a lot of them.

that there is a large possibility she was not paying any attention for any number of bad reasons but that ramp looks to be almost the same color as the road and it was in the lane. I don't know, it is just a horrible tragedy and likely she will be paying the price with her own body because of it.

Any info on the people in the car she smashed as she came down on it? What a horrible mess.

9. All i can find about her is "taken to hospital with serious injuries."

There's nothing on the car she hit, so maybe it was damaged and maybe the driver is OK, just badly shaken up.

I suppose more news will be released when they identify her and notify her family.

I've driven that road. It looked like she was speeding and made no attempt to brake, so the tox screen might be interesting.

I feel sorry for the cop, the original accident scene looked bad enough and then to have that happen right in front of him.

If she'd just hit the back of a stationary truck, it would have been worse.
She could have decapitated herself.

and lack of lights or cones or anything like that. No shoulder on that road so it was on the drive lane

trucks. Jersey City....3 a.m.

Our driver was stopped at a light on Rt. 1. Kid was driving his mother's new Toyota convertable--- drunk.

He smashed into the back of the truck, and his car went under the hopper. He was decapitated.

Then his mother has the onions to try to sue the company.
