looks like declaring war on Christmas.

The only thing worse would be an attack by a drone with Rudolph painted on the side.

Imagine the emotional music and text of such an ad--the sweet soothing tone, the appeal about cute little puppies waiting to give you love and only needing a home to do so.

Now substitute guns for the puppies.

That's what I heard on a Fresno, CA, commercial radio station a few days before the Newtown massacre--an ad by a gun shop, saying that guns want to love you and need you to give them a home this Christmas.

I am not kidding.

And before you go in they pose you with rifles. My son did not want to hold a gun. I was so proud of him (He is autistic and we have drilled into that guns are bad only policemen should have guns in case they encounter a bad person) My husband and I held the guns and brought the picture because that is the only time I will ever hold a gun. I usually post these type of pictures on Facebook but I did not with this one.

While I also find these photos hilarious and disturbing... I do hope there's a realization that not all gun owners are like this. I shoot skeet, have posed for my photo with skeet guns and trophies. I'm also a hardcore democrat. My point is just that when you hear someone is a firearm owner don't automatically assume they are similar to the people in these photos.

That said... I'm afraid people like myself, truly responsible gun owners who have a legitimate sport/hobby that doesn't involve some delusional gun ownership reason like "the government is taking over" are few and far between.

Too creepy and they were arguing too so you never knew when it could go down. The women and son had a lot of big guns...she seemed to be the one more than her husband

I'm sure these two would be among the first to cower and mess themselves if faced with live fire. Maybe they should get over into the mountains of Afghanistan...see how they like actual, live-ammo flyin' their way.
