Vice President Joe Biden spoke to a conference of House Democrats in Maryland today, and in discussing the SEAL Team raid that successfully took out Osama bin Laden, he admitted that he advised President Obama not to carry out the mission ... SNIP

1. Just an idea but

perhaps Biden remembered Operation Eagle Claw in 1980, and it's disastrous aftermath. In fact with one blown up helicopter left in the Bin Laden compound, and a dead Bin Laden (maybe their first objective was really to capture him... who knows) it goes to show, that nothing of this nature is a slam dunk. I give Obama credit for pulling the trigger, but also to Biden for doing his job and be a good advisor.
