Incredible and powerful video about the issue of rape in state hospitals--one family's story
that didn't get a lot of media attention. This event took place at Sonoma Developmental Center, originally Sonoma State Hospital. The Center for Investigative Reporting/California Watch does an amazing job with their videos. This is poignantly done and is worth 12 minutes of your time.

of the involved care facilities is truly disgusting. Of course - the staff's welfare is much more important than the crazy folks they get paid to care for! 
...as I read stories and listen to clips like this about one injustice after another that has occurred in THIS country, I am more and more convinced that we have become a third world country. Do these kinds of injustices happen in other industrialized countries? I don't even know why I ask, as I wouldn't be comforted by whatever the answer is. An injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere. I pray for all those who are suffering injustices at this moment. Hopefully, as each of them are discovered, our better angels will swoop in and make things right.
